It exposes the whole area of the film, right to the edges including the sprocket holes.</p> <p>It’s difficult to scan these frames. To get a decent quality scan (not just a flatbed contact sheet scan like this one) the film needs to be the right distance above the scanning surface. That’s about 2mm. My scanner has a film holder but it covers up the sprocket holes so I can’t use that holder.
